The purpose of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is to get a web site placed higher – on the first page – of the various Search Engines’ Results Pages, commonly referred to as SERPs.  What Search Engines attempt to do is return the most relevant websites, or pages, in response to the keywords used in the search. Bob understands how the Search Engines judge relevancy and ranks your website in their SERPs. There are two principal elements of Search Engine use: the website’s content, and the number of online links or references to the website or page. It is this link or reference element that has been radically altered by the advent of Social Media. As a result, Social Media Marketing must now be included as part of any SEO campaign.

Bob has seen how much things have changed on the internet over the years and believes that Social Media is a central part of SEO. He finds this rapidly developing field exciting and challenging.

By profession, Bob is a Management Consultant and obtained his MBA from York University in Toronto, Canada. In 1983 Bob founded Computer Partners which was a very early adopter of the Internet. As early as 1995 Bob’s company housed its own web servers and a significantly-sized data center. His own particular specialty during these years was Search Engine Optimization where he conducted many successful campaigns for companies of all sizes. Another one of Bob’s impressive accomplishments is his design of an SEO course which he taught at Conestoga College in Waterloo, Canada.
